I have a very keen understanding of the English language and am very adept at writing composition. On the ACT writing section I achieved an 11 my first attempt and a perfect 12 my second attempt. I have attained a score of 4 on the AP-English exam as well as a 3 on both the AP-European History and AP-American History exams. I would like to be a tutor because I feel i have a well-developed sense of the English language as well as a thorough comprehension of how to write papers both logically and coherently. I was in upper-level English classes throughout the duration of High School and based on standardized test results from my Sophomore-Senior years, I feel the English language is clearly my best field. I am able to effectively communicate my ideas not only in my writing but also when I speak. This is very beneficial from a tutor's standpoint as I feel I am already ready and willing to teach and teach effectively. I am also very strong in terms of peer-editing, both recognizing spelling error as well as rearranging ideas for the sake of coherence and overall fluidity of the paper and I believe this would be extremely useful when tutoring someone in the field of English. I am a very strong public speaker and in High School I participated in forensics, was President of the Senior Class, and spoke in front of the entire school on several different occasions including: liturgies, theatre productions, the school's talent show as the Master of Ceremonies, various pep rallies, as well as at Graduation as the student-selected class speaker.
