Experience

I tutored algebra in high school. I want to be a tutor to help students understand relevant material, and succeed in class. I also enjoy tutoring because it is an opportunity for me to enforce and practice the subject I tutored. I have taken through Calculus 1, and received an A I'm a Geoscience major, so I've taken all entry level classes for the core sciences. I have professional leadership training through the Northland Foundation, and was a captain for my high school football team. I am outgoing in any situation, and can take control of a situation to get moving on the right path.

Hello! My name is Anthony Buchberger, and I am glad that you are reviewing my profile to see if I'm the right fit for your son or daughter. I am a 21 year old junior at Winona State University. I am majoring in Geology, and hope one day to work with sustainable energy. In my free time I enjoy playing volleyball for the club team at Winona State, and pushing around the Bluffs on my longboard to stay in shape. I've work at Ambercrombie and Fitch to do modeling over the summer. Since my junior year of high school I've been a pizza delivery driver at Sammy's pizza in Duluth MN, and now currently at the Winona Location. I love meeting new people, and helping people one on one with any issue in their life they may be tackling. I played Quarterback for 8 years, and was captain of my high school football team my junior and senior year. To sum myself up, I am a fun, energetic, easy going guy who is working hard through college for my degree, with aspirations of attending graduate school after I graduate in 2014. I enjoy athletics, and know how to manage my time between school, work, and any free time. Any of my skills I’d be happy to pass on to any potential student. For me tutoring isn't only about learning your school material. Tutoring is also a way to build a relationship with your son, or daughter to get them excited about school. I take a big brother approach to my tutor sessions, so that the student feels more comfortable around me, and so I don't end up being "that guy that helps me with my homework", but instead a friend who your son, or daughter will be able to look up at as a role model.
