Education

I am a junior at Winona State University. I major in ecology and am currently working toward my Bachelor's Degree. Eventually, I will pursue a Master's Degree in marine biology. I also have minors in communication studies and psychology. The three subjects go hand-in-hand--more than people would originally think.

Experience

I used to tutor my fellow classmates in high school for various subjects (history, writing, etc.). I now help my peers in college when they need it. Usually, I help them with writing essays, vocabulary, grammar, organization skills, test prep, etc. I have taken various courses in psychology, history, english, and biology. I want to help students achieve their goals and excel in their classes. I try to make learning a fun experience through visuals, parodies, and videos. I have years of experience in each category I would like to tutor, and I have helped my classmates go from poor grades to higher grades on homework assignments and exams. Throughout the years, my teachers have expressed that I am above my age group in vocabulary, grammar, writing, singing, and preparedness for things such as exams.

Hobbies

I love to read, write, hike, play tennis, sing, dance, draw, and learn languages in my free time. In high school, I played several instruments and have picked up a couple more since my graduation. Both in high school and in college, I have been a very active student in and out of the classroom. I have always been highly involved in activities such as tennis, FFA, Women in Science and Engineering, a biological national honor society, WeAct, psychology club, biology club, etc. I have also held various positions in nearly every club/organization I have been involved in.
