Experience
No previous tutoring experience. AP Literature and Language received a score of 3, AP Biology received a score of 2. I want to be a tutor because I think one of the most difficult things for kids at school is not being able to keep up to their classmates or not knowing how to stay organized or study. I think I could really help students understand material and keep themselves organized and on top of their work. Most of my classes have been centered around people - how people learn differently, what is helpful for different kinds of learners. I've really learned about adversity and how to react to difficult and trying situations. Also, I think just going to college prepares a person much better on how to study and organize school and home related issues. I am in a leadership position in two clubs on campus. I was a volunteer at the Winona Middle School where I helped with after school groups. This summer I completed a field experience for the Social Work Program through Benedictine Adult Day Center. I have been involved in community groups in my home town and in Winona. I've spent the last two summers working at LARK Toys in Kellog. I am currently working with another student to prepare and lead studies on campus.

Hobbies
I love to crochet and do crafts. There is hardly a day when I'm not doing something creative. I love DIY projects. I have a long list of books to read for those rainy days. I am very involved with a college fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital called Up 'til Dawn. Also, I am the president of a ministry group on campus. I am always up for a challenge and I think I have really good problem solving skills. If you asked my friends, I think they'd tell you that I always find a way to make any situation positive. I value my family and the people in my life more than anything. I have the kind of heart that is forever looking for a way to make a difference.
